Shooting Investigation in Union Springs; Suspect Identified


Union Springs, AL — Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred on the 200 block of
Tye Avenue in Union Springs on Sunday, April 27, 2026.

Police say a 65-year-old male was shot during the incident. His condition has not been released
at this time.

Law enforcement officials have identified the suspect as 18-year-old Artavious Darnell Eldridge.
Eldridge is currently wanted on a charge of Assault in the First Degree, and a warrant has been
issued for his arrest.
