Original Release:
A mass shooting investigation is underway after 14 people were shot in downtown Montgomery late Saturday night. At least two victims have since died from their injuries.
In hopes of generating leads that can solve the case, the mayor announced that a $5,000 cash reward was being offered by CrimeStoppers. Later, he noted that he didn’t think that would be enough money, prompting him to offer another $20,000. Within a matter of moments, an additional $25,000 was pledged by Montgomery Council President CC Calhoun to bring the current total to $50,000.
