The Phenix City Police Department continues to investigate a September 23, 2021, homicide and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect. It has been three years to the date since this senseless fatal shooting occurred, and investigators and family continue to seek answers.
On Thursday, September 23, 2021, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Phenix City Police units responded to the 900 Block of 10th Avenue and Willie Boddie Street regarding an unresponsive person lying in the roadway. The victim was identified as Caleb “Jay” Holden and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding this ongoing homicide are under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
