Sylacauga Police Investigating Shooting Involving Juvenile Victim


Sylacauga, Ala. – Sylacauga Police are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile injured.
Police say on Saturday, December 27, at approximately 7:48 p.m., officers responded to a report
of a shooting on Willowood Street. Upon arrival, they discovered that a juvenile was wounded.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Coosa Valley Medical Center and later transferred
to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham for further treatment. The injuries were determined to
be non-life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the
