Smith’s Station, Al.—The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects involved in an
armed robbery that happened on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at a convenience store located in the
16000 block of U.S. Highway 280 East in the Smiths Station community.

Authorities say at approximately 10:41 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting the incident.
Deputies say witness statements and surveillance video revealed two suspects—a white male and a Black male—entering the store, with one suspect displaying a large knife and the other a handgun. The
suspects demanded cash from the register before fleeing with an estimated $200 to $300 in U.S.
currency.

Information that leads to the identity and arrest of these suspects will result in a cash reward.
