The Jemison Police Department urgently requests the public’s help to locate 51-year-old Lashawna Nelms.

Nelms has been missing since November 4, 2025.

Police say Nelms left her mother’s home in Jemison to visit a friend in Gadsden, Alabama but never returned.

Her mother last heard from her via text message on November 5, 2025, around 6:30 p.m. and has had no further contact since.

Nelms is described as a Black female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen driving a black 2019 Jeep Renegade with Georgia license plate CML431. NELMS MAY HAVE A CONDITION THAT IMPAIRS HER JUDGEMENT!

Investigators believe Nelms may be in or around the Gadsden, Vestavia, or Hoover areas.
