Crimestoppers seeks Public Assistance in Fatal Troy Hit-and-Run Investigation

TROY, AL — CrimeStoppers and the Troy Police Department are requesting the public’s help for information regarding a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on the evening of Sunday, December 21, 2025.

At approximately 7:06 p.m., Troy Police officers responded to a report of a collision. Upon arrival, emergency responders located an adult female in the roadway suffering from severe injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Tragically, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is currently being led by the Troy Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit. Investigators are working to identify the vehicle and driver involved and believe that members of the community may hold vital information that could bring closure to the victim’s family.
