The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek answers in the 2011 murder of DeLange Harris and seeks the public’s help with providing insight or additional details in this ongoing cold case investigation.
On May 3, 2011, deputies responded to the area of Athens Church Road located in the Goshen Community in Crenshaw County in reference to a possible deceased person. Upon arrival, units located the male victim identified as DeLange Harris, 25. Harris was pronounced deceased on the scene.
May 3, 2024, marked thirteen years since Harris was taken from his family and friends. This case is ongoing and has not nor will it ever be forgotten. Investigators have worked diligently to work new leads, gather new evidence, and solicit the FBI for assistance in bringing this case to a close with the person(s) responsible for his untimely death.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering $5,000.00 to be paid within 30 days of an arrest(s). Another $25,000 reward will be paid by the family and Governor’s Office, after the arrest and conviction of the offender(s). This brings the total reward to $30,000.00.
